Who we are

Garden City Guppies is a live-fish breeder and direct-to-consumer e-commerce store based in Augusta, Georgia. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Order data — name, email, shipping address, phone (optional). Used to fulfill your order and provide tracking.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Email signups — when you join our newsletter or a product waitlist, we store your email with our email provider (Kit) so we can notify you.
• Analytics — we use a self-hosted Umami install for traffic analytics. Umami does not use cookies and does not track individual users — just aggregate page-view counts.

How we use it

• To fulfill and ship your order.
• To send order confirmations, tracking updates, and DOA-claim follow-ups.
• To email you when a strain you waitlisted is back in stock.
• To send occasional newsletters if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third-party advertisers.
• We don't use behavioral retargeting cookies (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tags, no TikTok Pixel).
• We don't send marketing texts. Phone numbers are used only for shipping issues.

Cookies

The only data we store in your browser is your cart (localStorage) and admin login state if you are an admin. No third-party tracking cookies are set by our site.

Your rights

You can request a copy of any personal data we have on file, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@gardencityguppies.com. We will respond within 30 days.
